
Peter Freiberg
Attorney
Peter Freiberg is an attorney at Pandit Law who helps homeowners, business owners, and other policyholders navigate property damage claims and insurance disputes after significant losses. He brings decades of litigation experience to matters involving first-party property damage, insurance coverage issues, and environmental and land loss claims.
Peter began his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney with the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, where he developed extensive courtroom and trial experience. Since then, he has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in state and federal courts across a wide range of complex matters. Having tried approximately 100 cases, most before juries, he brings extensive courtroom experience to clients facing complex insurance, property damage, and commercial disputes.
In addition to his legal practice, Peter remains actively involved in the New Orleans legal community through teaching and professional service.

Biography
Peter has served as an Adjunct Professor of Trial Advocacy at Tulane Law School since 1995, helping train future attorneys in courtroom advocacy and trial practice. He has maintained an AV Preeminent rating through Martindale-Hubbell for more than 20 years and has been recognized in both New York Super Lawyers® and Louisiana Super Lawyers® since 2013.
He also serves on the Board of Directors of the New Orleans Metropolitan Crime Commission and participates on the Orleans Public Defenders Conflict Panel. Outside of his legal practice, Peter remains active in his community and enjoys spending time with his family. He and his wife, Mary Kelly Freiberg, a Spanish professor at Tulane University, are the proud parents of two grown children.
