
Kevin Melchi is an experienced litigator who has successfully tried cases in multiple state and federal courts. He also has extensive experience in both state and federal appellate courts. When he began practicing in 2004, Kevin was primarily a defense attorney in a variety of areas, including mass tort, personal injury, governmental litigation, civil rights, medical malpractice, and business disputes. He now enjoys using his litigation experience to assist those who have sustained devastating losses from hurricanes and other events. Kevin began his career in Mississippi and served as City Attorney for Ocean Springs, Mississippi from 2016-2019, but has practiced primarily in Louisiana since 2020.
After graduating from Purdue University, Kevin worked several years in management for hospitality and casino corporations. He then earned a Juris Doctor in 2004 from the University of Mississippi in Oxford, Mississippi. He is licensed to practice law in all state and federal courts of Mississippi and Louisiana, the Fifth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. In 2020, Kevin was recognized by his peers as AV Preeminent in the Martindale-Hubbell rankings for the highest level of professional excellence and ethical standards.
Kevin resides in New Orleans with his wife, Catherine, and has three daughters.
